CM Punk Takes Friendly Jab At His Own WWE Firing In Response To Eric Bischoff's Release

It was revealed yesterday that WWE had fired Eric Bischoff, after just a few short months on the job as SmackDown Executive Director. He will be replaced by Bruce Prichard.

In response to the firing, the Twitter page for his podcast, 83 Weeks, posted their Fired t-shirt. The shirt is in the style of the FedEx logo as an homage to the stories about Eric Bischoff firing people, specifically Stone Cold Steve Austin, via FedEx during their time in WCW.

CM Punk responded to this tweet with a throwback jab at how he got fired by asking if it was Eric‘s wedding day or not.

Back in 2014, WWE officially sent CM Punk his termination papers on the day that he married former WWE Divas Champion AJ Lee.

In recent months, CM punk has admitted to trying out for the WWE Backstage show on FS1 and has said he is willing to talk to anybody but he will not initiate conversations.
