CM Punk Vs. Sami Zayn For WWE Title, Chelsea Green Vs. Nia Jax For WWE Women’s Title, More Set For 9/11 WWE SmackDown
Lineup for the September 11 edition of WWE SmackDown.
On this week’s WWE SmackDown, Nick Aldis brought Doctor Woodruff to the ring to discuss Chelsea Green’s injury situation. The segment ended with Woodruff saying that Chelsea Green is medically cleared to wrestle as long as she wears a face mask. Nia Jax and Lash Legend interrupted after this announcement, and SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis confirmed a title match between the two for next week’s show.
A match between Paige and Nikki Bella was also announced. The two had a segment earlier in the show.
In the main event, Sami Zayn interfered on Johnny Gargano’s behalf in the WWE Championship match against CM Punk. Following his victory, Punk gave Zayn a title shot for next week in Mexico.
Lastly, in a digital exclusive, WWE announced a match between Ricky Saints and Rey Fenix for the AAA Cruiserweight Championship.
