Cody Captures The NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship

He has done it!!!

The NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship match was the first bout that was made official for 'All In' this past May prior to the tickets for the event going on sell. Nick Aldis had been reigning strong as the World Champion of the National Wrestling Alliance for months and his next test was awaiting him in the form of the "The American Nightmare" Cody.

Nick Aldis and Cody have been back and forth with one another on Ring Of Honor television, social media and on other platforms to promote their showdown tonight. Accompanying Cody to the ring for his bout were the likes of Tommy Dreamer, WWE Hall Of Famer Diamond Dallas Page and Glacier. The champion Nick Aldis was accompanied to the ring by a number of former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champions including Tim Storm and Jeff Jarrett.

The match was hard-hitting as both men took the fight to one another over the prestigious title and Nick Aldis even drew blood from Cody. As the match neared its end, Cody attempted to set Aldis up for the "Veterbreaker" but Aldis reversed that maneuver into a "schoolboy" which then allowed Cody to wrap up Aldis' legs and sit his weight down and with Earl Hebner's count of three, Cody became the new NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion in front of the sold-out Sears Centre crowd at the event that he put together with The Young Bucks. Cody is now the holder of the very title that his Hall Of Fame father Dusty Rhodes was synonymous with during his time as an in-ring performer and the "The American Nightmare" fans inside of the Sears Centre and those watching at home witnessed the 94th time that the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Title changed hands.
