Even though Cody Rhodes wanted to team with his wife against Shaquille O'Neal and Jade Cargill, Red Velvet appears to be stepping up.
For months now, Cody Rhodes has been leery of the challenge of Shaquille O'Neal that has been on the horizon ever since Jade Cargill first made her debut. Initially, it appeared that Jade would be feuding with Brandi Rhodes but shortly before Christmas, Brandi Rhodes revealed that she is expecting her first child.
Following a challenge from Shaquille O'Neal for March, Cody Rhodes revealed that he wanted to make the tag team match official between his wife and himself against the basketball legend and Jade Cargill for Revolution, but real life would not allow that to happen.
Van, Arn Anderson introduced Red Velvet, a close friend of Brandi who has been involved in brawls with Jade on the opposite side. Velvet stated that because everybody knows Cody won't hit a woman, she would be more than happy to stir up Jade?s ?bitch ass.?
No official declaration was made, but Tony Schiavone ended the segment by saying that the ball was now in the corner of Shaquille O'Neal and Jade Cargill.
