Cody Rhodes explains why he supports Preston North End when it comes to the sport of soccer, pointing to another fan in WWE.

Back in 2024, Rhodes would reveal that he supports Preston North End, a football (soccer) club in the UK that currently plays in the second tier of English soccer.

While speaking to James Sweetnam with Sporf in a new interview, Cody Rhodes explained why he is a fan of the club, pointing to Wade Barrett’s influence.

“I like to be very loyal, and Wade Barrett, Bad News Barrett, Preston North End fan, told me about the team, asked me if I would come check it out, got me a jersey, got me the kit, the whole deal, and since then, I have remained loyal to him, and I remain loyal to those lads. So that’s where it all came from. My man on commentary now, Big Stu, as I call him, Wade Barrett, yeah.”
