Cody Rhodes: Goldust Is An Underrated Part Of The Attitude Era And Worthy Of WWE Hall Of Fame

Goldust was one of the most unique characters in the Attitude Era with Dustin Rhodes playing a flamboyant and sexual movie star.

Goldust feuded with the likes of Ahmed Johnson, Razor Ramon (Scott Hall), Roddy Piper, and more. Rhodes portrayed the character through multiple stints in WWE, including a tag team run with his brother Cody Rhodes.

Speaking to The Schmo, Cody was asked about his brother and Goldust.

"I think I was 14 years old when Goldust was really hitting his stride on WWE television. I can certainly say that it was a unique thing to see. My friends had a lot of feelings about what Goldust was doing. However, knowing how much he had subverted expectations, knowing how much he didn't want to just be a Rhodes, he wanted to be his own thing. I was very proud of Dustin throughout that whole run, what he did, and the lengths he went to do it. Goldust was an underrated part of the Attitude Era, certainly somebody worthy of the Hall of Fame," said Cody.

Dustin is currently signed to AEW.

Elsewhere during the interview, Cody commented on Samantha Irvin's departure from WWE. You can find his full comments by clicking here.
