Cody Rhodes retains at Clash in Italy.

At WWE Clash in Italy, Gunther battled Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Before the event, Gunther had promised Cody that he was going to make him tap out in front of the Italian fans.

Even though Gunther got most of the early offense during the bout, he even placed the sleeper hold on Cody, but it wasn’t enough to defeat The American Nightmare.

The bout ended in Cody’s favor after two back-to-back Cross Rhodes.

After the match, Gunther argued with the match official that his foot was under the bottom rope and the pin shouldn’t have been counted.
