Cody will return to AEW Dark for the first time in about six months.
AEW announced two matches that will take place on the April 21 episode of Dark and one of them will feature Cody taking on Joe Alonzo. The other match announced was the recently-signed Anna Jay taking on Penelope Ford.
This will be Cody's first match on Dark since he participated in an eight-man tag team match back in October 2019, teaming up with The Young Bucks and Dustin Rhodes. Alonzo will have his second match on AEW programming after losing his debut match against Jake Hager on AEW Dark.
Ford will have her fifth match on AEW programming this year and is 2-2 in her last four such matches. AEW confirmed Jay's signing earlier this month, nearly a week after making her AEW debut on the April 1 episode of Dynamite. Jay lost her debut match to top contender Hikaru Shida.
Fightful will have live coverage and a live stream of AEW Dark on April 21.
