Corey Graves Reiterates His Desire To Return To The Wrestling Ring

Corey Graves is once again commenting on wanting to return to the ring.

Corey Graves is the current color commentator on Monday Night Raw but once upon a time, Corey Graves was one of the top NXT prospects during the beginning of that brand’s time under Triple H. Unfortunately, Corey Graves was forced into retirement due to injuries and has been in a broadcast role since late 2014.

Corey Graves recently won his first WWE Championship when he rolled up Akira Tozawa on the November 8 episode of Monday Night Raw to capture the WWE 24/7 Championship. While it was a short-lived reign as he was rolled up by his fellow broadcaster, Byron Saxton, Corey Graves would take to Twitter later in the week to say that he is once again thinking about a return to the ring.

Earlier this year, he had tweeted that he was put on this Earth to do something but what he is doing is not it, but he had claimed that the tweet had nothing to do with professional wrestling.

Following Edge’s return to the ring after a 9-year absence, Corey Graves opened up on WWE After the Bell about the return making him consider potentially returning himself.

“Watching it honestly, it was inspiring. At two or three different points, I went like, ‘Man, I live in Pittsburgh now. I should go find Dr. Maroon.’ It just gave me that urge to do it all over again, but I don’t know if that’s possible. The thought was planted in my brain for quite some time," Graves said.

For now, Corey is at the broadcast desk every Monday night and hosts the WWE After The Bell podcast every Thursday. Recently, Corey Graves and Carmella announced to the world that they were engaged to be married. Learn more about that here.
