Dalton Castle Files Trademark On In-Ring Name, Reportedly Remains In Talks With ROH On A New Contract

Dalton Castle looking to secure his in-ring name. 

On January 14, Dalton Castle (real name Brett Giehl) filed to trademark his in-ring name "Dalton Castle." The trademark was filed for entertainment services. 

The description reads as followed:

IC 041. US 100 101 107. G & S: Entertainment services, namely, wrestling exhibits and performances by a professional wrestler and entertainer. FIRST USE: 20090301. FIRST USE IN COMMERCE: 20090301

Wrestling Inc reported on January 10 that Castle is currently a free agent after his deal with Ring of Honor had expired. Mike Johnson as PWInsider reports Castle remains a free agent, but is in talks with ROH regarding a new deal. Castle reportedly passed on signing an addendum to his previous contract. 

Castle competed at ROH Final Battle 2020, losing to Rey Horus. He last wrestled on the Christmas episode of ROH Television in a ten-man tag team match.
