Damian Priest channeled the energy of one of his mentors to finish the feud with Drew McIntyre at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event.
The rivalry between the former WWE World Heavyweight Champions came to a head inside a steel cage on May 24 at WWE Saturday Night's Main Event. Drew McIntyre is the one who first introduced steel chairs to the match, and in the end, it would be his undoing. Not only did McIntyre miss Priest with a Claymore Kick and end up hitting a chair, but Priest would finish the match by delivering a Con-Chair-To, a signature move of Edge (Adam "Cope" Copeland in AEW), before walking out of the cage to be declared the victor.
Medical personnel immediately tended to Mcintyre after the match and brought a stretcher to ringside for him. However, McIntyre refused medical help and stumbled out of the ring alone.
END IT PRIEST!!! WHAT ARE YOU DOING???

Damian Priest was once Edge's on-screen protege. Edge originally started Judgment Day, and Priest was the first recruit to the group. Their time together on screen was very short-lived, as the group continued on with Finn Balor, and they would betray Edge.
McIntyre had stated that he was injured going into the match and that he had trouble turning his head to the left. Read more here.
