Damian Priest Claims That His Dad Once Got The Better Of Chuck Norris In An Exhibition Match

Chuck Norris. At one point in time, just that name would send shivers down the spine of even the toughest men in the world, unless you are the father of NXT North American Champion Damian Priest.

In 1994, when the Undertaker needed some backup against Yokozuna at Survivor Series, he didn't call on a Ministry, he didn't even call on his brother (who was presumed to be dead at the time), he called on Chuck, by God, Norris and Chuck Norris kept everyone at bay.

However, long before he was Walker, Texas Ranger, Chuck Norris was apparently bested in an exhibition fight by the father of NXT Superstar Damian Priest.

"(The story) was something that I heard from, not just him, but from other martial artists that were around in that era, in the 70s, and it was before Chuck Norris was even a name," Priest said to Digital Spy. "They had an exhibition fight that wasn't meant to have a winner, but they all said that if there was one by points, or whatever, my father landed way more strikes and kind of outperformed (Norris) so he would have won the fight in that sense."

Talk about living forever. Hopefully, Priest will be able to tap into some of his father's skills when he has to defend the NXT North American Championship against Johnny Gargano at NXT TakeOver 31 on Sunday, October 4.
