Daniel Bryan Says He's Starting To Feel Like The Best Wrestler In The World Again

DB making it clear that no one can touch him in the ring.

It was a true miracle story in March of this year when it was announced that Daniel Bryan had been medically cleared to return to in-ring competition after spending years on the shelf and as an on-screen character because of concussion-relate issues. Daniel had his return match at WrestleMania 34 in a tag team bout with Shane McMahon as they teamed up to defeat Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn??????.

In the months after his return, Bryan went on to feud with the likes of Big Cass, The Miz, Harper and Rowan and others but it wasn't until last month when "The New" Daniel Bryan was introduced to the WWE Universe. Bryan took on AJ Styles for the WWE Championship on the SmackDown episode before Survivor Series on-which he low-blowed AJ to capture the title. Daniel Bryan has now been WWE Champion for well over a month and recently had his first successful title defense at the TLC pay-per-view where he defeated AJ Styles with a "small-package". WWE cameras followed Daniel Bryan on the day of the TLC pay-per-view and during their conversation DB shared that he is getting back to the point of feeling like he's the best wrestler in the world and he last had that feeling around 2007.

?I?m a very different Daniel Bryan than the Daniel Bryan who won the championship in 2014. If only because I?m more confident in what I know." Bryan said. "I'm more confident in my abilities. You know I?ve only been back? Its been eight months since I returned to wrestling but somehow I feel more confident than ever. It?s interesting - there was a period when I was on the independent scene in probably about 2007, 2008, where I literally felt like there was not a better wrestler than me on the planet, and, there were guys who were better at certain things, sure. But overall there?s nobody better on the planet, and now, I?m getting back to that point. When I was out, I looked at AJ Styles. I looked at AJ Styles and said, ?Man, he might be the best wrestler on the planet?. I don?t feel like that anymore. I don?t feel like AJ Styles can touch me. I don't feel like all the people who get hype on the internet over in Japan or anyone else on the independents - I don?t feel like they can touch me. There?s nobody who?s better than The New Daniel Bryan.?
