Daniel Bryan And Bray Wyatt Set To Battle For The Universal Championship At Survivor Series

It has been announced that at Survivor Series, Daniel Bryan will attempt to capture his first WWE Universal Championship when he takes on "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt in Chicago.

During an appearance on Miz TV, Bryan openly spoke about relating to Bray Wyatt and his mental instability.

Daniel admitted that he is at a place in his career where he is uncertain, saying that he could’ve coasted by on the "Yes! Movement," But chose not to because that would’ve been the easy way out.

Bray Wyatt, in his jovial Mister Rogers-like persona, would appear on the screen and say that he would face Daniel Bryan, if Daniel Bryan would just say "Yes."

Bryan refused and turned the challenge on to Wyatt, telling him he wanted to fight for the championship. Wyatt, who would briefly mention the two's history together, responded in a mocking tone of the "Yes!" chants.

Daniel Bryan and Bray Wyatt had a long-standing feud in late 2013 and early 2014. In fact, Wyatt had recruited Daniel to join his family and Bryan would actually turn on Wyatt inside of a steel cage.

The two would then do battle at the 2014 Royal Rumble event. Bray would win that night, but Daniel Bryan would go on to become World Champion a few short months later.

If Daniel Bryan should win this match, he will become the first person to have held the WWE Championship, the Universal Championship, and The now-defunct World Heavyweight Championship.

Speaking of the Universal Championship which these two will do battle over in Chicago, Bray Wyatt magically changed the strap of the championship from red to blue. Learn more about that here.
