A big-time challenge has been laid down for AEW Full Gear.
On September 29, Darby Allin interrupted an MJF promo, kicking off what has been a heated feud between the two men. In the weeks that followed, MJF and the Inner Circle would attack Darby and Sting on multiple occasions, putting the former out of action for multiple weeks.
During tonight's broadcast, MJF won a match in quick order, grabbing the mic after the bell and addressing his adversaries. After teasing the crowd with Sting's music, the lights went out on MJF and a vignette played that showed Darby dropkicking an unknown person wearing an MJF mask. The screen then read; "Now it's time to break you physically." When they came back on, Sting was in the ring with a bat and beat up Shawn Spears and Wardlow. Darby appeared in the crowd and gave chase to MJF.
With MJF at the top of the ramp, Darby got on the microphone and uttered two words; Full Gear. The match has yet to be made official. Fightful will keep you informed should that change.
