Darby Allin reveals that while performing an underwater kickflip stunt for Shark Week last year, he ran out of oxygen and almost drowned.
Darby is a man who has partaken in many stunts over the years, not only in professional wrestling but outside of the squared circle, having performed kickflips at the bottom of the ocean and at the top of Mount Everest. However, the first stunt went slightly awry last year.
While speaking to 8 News Now Las Vegas in a new interview, Darby Allin would share that he almost drowned while doing an underwater kickflip stunt for Shark Week, after being reminded of a drowning spot he took part in with Jon Moxley.
“When you said the drowned one, I was filming Shark Week last year, and I was trying to kickflip at the bottom of the ocean with 15 sharks around my head, and then I ran out of oxygen, and I remember almost drowning there. I thought that’s what you were referring to.”
Elsewhere in another recent interview, Darby spoke about the potential of Mick Foley once again wrestling. You can read more about that here.
Darby previously spoke about the stunt at the bottom of the ocean here.
