Dark Silueta Credits ‘Great Coaches’ For The Levels Amazonas Have Reached In CMLL

Dark Silueta speaks about the growth of CMLL’s Amazona division, crediting the promotions great coaches for their current level.

Since the 1990s, women have competed in the promotions women’s division, but struggled with activity until the mid 2000s, when the Amazona division was born. Silueta has been part of that division for 20 years now, and credits the promotions coaching team for it’s growth in that time.

While speaking to Fightful’s Luis Pulido in a new interview, Dark Silueta spoke about the growth of CMLL’s Amazona division, noting that it is down to the great coaches for the high level the talent has reached.

“Aside from having the mindset of an Amazona, the desire to train, and the desire to keep moving forward, we have some great coaches- quite a few who are on another level- like Ultimo Guerrero, El Satánico, Averno, and other coaches who have emerged during this time, which, at least since I’ve been active within the Amazonas, have helped us achieve that level of wrestling quality that you don’t see just anywhere else. I think the Amazonas are at a great level right now, which is why these partnerships are also emerging, and they’ve been going to AEW; we’ve been going to Japan with STARDOM, so I think it all goes back to the training that all of us Amazonas do our part to contribute our grain of sand and say: here we are, not just to fill out a card. We’re here to headline a card, just as we’ve been doing since 2021. Headlining Anniversaries, Noche de Campeones, Viernes Espectacular, Sunday shows, and Tuesday shows. I think part of that training and those coaches have given us their experience, and that’s why we, the Amazonas, are here at the level we’ve reached.”
