Davey Richards wants to handle business and capture the MLW belt.
Davey Richards returned to pro wrestling and joined MLW via the brand's open draft in 2021. Now, after winning the Opera Cup in 2021, he will challenge Alex Hammerstone for the MLW World Title at MLW SuperFight.
Speaking with Muscle Man Malcom, Davey laid out his strategy for Charlotte on February 26: make sure Alex Hammerstone wakes up hurt and without a title.
"I'm gonna come at him, I'm gonna try to gas him out, I'm going to drown him, and then I'm going to submit him," Davey Richards said. "So that's pretty much always the plan. So I mean, he has other things going on. But I am definitely not the person you want to be in the ring with when your mind is elsewhere. Because, you can wake up with a concussion, or you can wake up with a broken ankle," Richards bragged.
Hammer's mind is occupied with the betrayal of Richard Holliday, and his love interest Alicia Atout, and now, Hammer may be too preoccupied to properly go to war against Davey Richards. Learn more about the betrayal and MJF's reaction here.
