David Arquette: I Wish We Would Make A Sequel To ‘Ready To Rumble’

In April 2000, arguably the greatest film ever made, “Ready to Rumble,” hit theaters.

The film starred David Arquette and Scott Caan on their quest to restore the good name of Jimmy “The King” (Oliver Platt), which was ruined by that no good Titus Sinclair (Joe Pantoliano) and Diamond Dallas Page.

The movie was a co-promotion with WCW, and led to Arquette appearing on WCW TV and winning the WCW World Heavyweight Title.

During a Reddit AMA, Arquette was asked when the sequel is coming.

“I wish we would make a sequel to Ready To Rumble. It’s difficult because if as film doesn’t make a lot of money when it first comes out, its hard to drum up the interest for a sequel. But someone could always start a campaign and write Warner Brothers!” he replied.

The film made only $12.5 million at the box office, but the memories it produced will last forever.

Elsewhere during the AMA, Arquette recalled the time he fell through the WCW stage.
