DJ Hyde Issues Apology For Homophobic Slur Used At CZW Event

DJ Hyde is the latest pro wrestler to come under fire for a homophobic slur.

The CZW owner was cutting a promo prior to his match against Casanova Valentine at the Tender Trap in Brooklyn. A yelled, "Fuck you" to which Hyde responded by saying, “Why do you want to fuck me? You stupid fucking f*ggot. When did Tender Trap become a gay bar?”

Pro Wrestling Sheet reached out to Hyde, who issued an apology.

“I’m very upset I said it, more than you know. I don’t want to make any excuses," said Hyde. "I regret it so much. I’m not a bigot, a racist or a homophobe. It was wrong of me.”

Hyde called his comments "very regrettable" and apologized for his "poor choice of words."

CZW has yet to issue a statement and Hyde ignored the matter on social media following the event.
