Doc Gallows Recalls 'Fake Kane' Practice In WWE

In 2006, Doc Gallows debuted as the Imposter Kane on WWE Raw. The feud between Imposter Kane, who wore the original Kane attire, and real Kane, who was unmasked at the time, was short-lived with real Kane easily dispatching of the imposter.

Speaking on Talk N Shop, Gallows recalled having to practice being Imposter Kane for the storyline.

Triple H To Rhea Ripley: Thank You For A Reign That The Entire WWE Universe Can Be Proud Of

"I felt so bad for the secret crew in Fake Kane practice. You have to act like, 'Oh man, I'm getting asked to come in and do extra work, I'm really excited.' They call me and they're going to put me on TV so I'm like, 'Okay, thanks, what am I doing?' 'You're going to be Fake Kane.' 'What does that mean?' Not only do you have to do hard practices, you have to do extra hard practices after where they have to be held in true secret so no one knows who the fake Kane is. These guys would be chosen to be chokeslammed, sidewalk slammed, tombstoned. Feed in, chokeslam, tombstone. Everyone is just going, 'Fuck this,'" recalled Gallows.

Brian Myers (formerly Curt Hawkins in WWE), was part of those training sessions and added, "After an already indescribable, hellacious practice, you're chosen to stay and do this after. What an honor."

Imposter Kane defeated real Kane at Vengeance 2006. One night later, real Kane got his mask back and tossed Imposter Kane out of the building.
