Dominik Mysterio: They Asked If I Wanted To Stop The Match When I Hurt My Shoulder, I Said No
Dominik Mysterio suffered a shoulder injury in December 2025 at AAA, teaming with El Grande Americano against Rey Fenix & Rey Mysterio.
Mysterio missed two months of action.
Speaking to Isai Rocha of PAPER Magazine, Dominik revealed he was asked if he wanted to stop in the match.
“There’s a lot of emotions that are constantly going through my head,” he replied when asked about his headspace going into the arena. “I feel like the main one is just trying to stay composed, because there’s so much going on. We’re always live, and you’ve got to be on your A game. It’s a live show where anything can happen. You know, it happened to me a couple of months ago. I hurt my shoulder at a AAA show. They asked me if I wanted to stop, and I was like, “Man, just keep going.” If we stop right then and there, that ruins everything. That ruins the match, probably adds more time to wrestlers that were going out after us, and you don’t want to put that on them.”
Mysterio is the reigning AAA Mega Champion.
Dominik Mysterio is set to face “The Demon” Finn Balor at WrestleMania 42.
