Don Callis Recalls His Disguise Prank At AEW Revolution, ‘I Had A Lot Of Fun With It’

Don Callis discusses his AEW Revolution disguise.

To celebrate April Fool’s Day, Callis put on a disguise at AEW Revolution. He was able to prank names like Jeff Jarrett, Kyle Fletcher, Kazuchika Okada, and Kevin Knight in the process.

Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Callis credited Warner Bros Discovery for coming up with the idea.

“I actually had a lot of fun with that. Not in the way that you’d think, but I just love the idea of standing next to someone while they’re burying me and then seeing how uncomfortable they are when they realize it’s me and then they wonder what’s going to happen. It’s really a tremendous experience. Warner Brothers Discovery was great with that, I had a lot of fun with it.”

Callis continued on and joked that he’s going to branch off and become a character actor in Hollywood.

“We had a team of makeup professionals from Los Angeles, it took about three hours to kind of get everything done. You know, the hard part is that I’m a magnificent athlete, I have a biological organ age of only 26 so it was hard for me to look like some of the shipwrecked fans. I decided I should have a limp, you know? I taped a very sharp rock into my croc, first time I’ve ever worn a croc in my life as well, it was part of the costume. I was limping around all day, it was a very successful disguise. I think I may branch off into Hollywood and become a character actor, like a Gene Hackman type, you know what I mean?”

Speaking of Hollywood, the interview also featured Callis speaking about the future of Kyle Fletcher and Kazuchika Okada. Check out his full comments by clicking here.
