Don Callis screwed over Omega in the cage match, stabbing him with the screwdiver as Omega was about to score the three count on Moxley. Moxley pinned Omega for the win after Callis turned his back on his former friend.

After the match, Callis teased hitting Omega again with the screw driver, but instead threw it down and said something to Omega before kissing him.

Near the end of the bout, Omega hit a monster v-trigger that sent Moxley through the cage and to the outside. Omega's leg got caught up on cage, allowing Moxley to take advantage. Back in the ring, Moxley was going to use the screwdriver on Omega, but Callis prevented him. Omega hit multiple v-triggers and then the one winged angel before the turn.

The bout featured a barbed wire steel chair, Moxley fish hooking Omega with a broken ring post, Omega driving Moxley back first into shards of glass, and more.

Before the action officially began, Moxley and Omega fought on the outside, which led to Claudio Castagnoli & Wheeler Yuta and The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) getting involved.

Moxley and Omega have a storied rivalry in AEW with Moxley debuting by attacking Omega at AEW Double or Nothing 2019. Moxley defeated Omega in a Lights Out Match at AEW Full Gear 2019. Omega defeated Moxley to win the AEW World Title at AEW Winter Is Coming 2020 and defended the title against Moxley in an exploding barbed wire deathmatch at AEW Revolution 2021, which was the last singles bout between the two men before Wednesday's AEW Dynamite.

Omega and Callis have been linked together and friends for years due to their Winnipeg connection. Omega brought Callis to AEW in 2020 and they have been an on-screen duo for the majority of Omega's run ever since.
