Doudrop Says Run With Eva Marie Helped Her Adjust To WWE TV, Reflects On Meeting Vince McMahon

Doudrop reflects on working with Eva Marie, Vince McMahon, and shouts out an NXT newcomer as helping her adjust to life in America.

Doudrop, the former Piper Niven, has had an atypical rise to the main roster of WWE as she appeared alongside a returning Eva Marie on Monday Night Raw. While her team with Eva may have been short-lived, Doudrop is now firmly planted on the Monday Night Raw roster and is on her way to becoming a top star.

Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp, Doudrop stated that she has had a lot of fun working with Eva Marie, saying that Opposites Attract and she have enjoyed working with Eva as a learning experience that she missed out on but not going to the traditional and NXT from NXT UK.

“It’s actually been really fun. She’s super high maintenance and I’m a super low maintenance sort of girl. But they always say opposites attract, right? I really think she’s been excellent for me. Because coming from NXT UK, I missed out on NXT where I would’ve learned a lot of things, I would have picked up a lot of things, and just gotten used to the American environment, bigger crowds. So, for me, this is like being thrown in the deep end and she is the life raft I needed to get a bit more comfortable.”

Doudrop who had to make the quick adjustment to the United States moving all the way from Scotland credited NXT newcomer, Persia (Stephanie De Lander) as being a great friend to her as they both adjusted to moving to a new country.

“There is a girl called Stephanie De Lander and without her, I don’t think I would have any hair left ‘cause I would have pulled it all out by now. She got to America right about the same time as me and she’s helped keep me right and just been a real solid friend.”

Of course, every new talent moving up to the main roster will now have a closer relationship with Vince McMahon by default. For Doudrop, she has had little interaction with the CEO of WWE but says that, and in her few interactions, she has loved meeting the wrestling legend.

“It’s been so cool. I love him. No, I think he’s such a boss. We’ve had little interactions and stuff, and the first time I met him he was like, ‘Oh, lovely to meet you. We’re gonna have a lot of fun with your character.’ I was like, ‘Oh, I consider myself a professional play fighter, so I’m all about fun.’ He was like, ‘Oh, this kid.’”

Doudrop has yet to win a championship or have a major breakout pay-per-view performance, but continues to have fun maneuvering through the top brand of WWE television. Fightful has live coverage of Monday Night Raw every Monday beginning at 8 p.m. eastern time.
