To kick off the February 8th episode of Monday Night Raw, Shane McMahon returned to WWE to help Adam Pearce make the main event announcement concerning the WWE Elimination Chamber pay-per-view.
It was announced that Drew McIntyre will defend his championship inside the namesake structure at the event against five former WWE Champions. At the event, Drew McIntyre will defend against Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, The Miz, AJ Styles, and Sheamus.
Drew McIntyre has a history with all of these men but thus far in his championship run spanning to title Reigns across all of 2020, he has defeated Randy Orton, The Miz, and AJ Styles.
Drew McIntyre has been involved in title matches with Jeff Hardy during their time in TNA Wrestling and as for Sheamus, Drew McIntyre is especially anxious to get into the ring with him after Sheamus turned his back on Drew McIntyre on the February 1st episode of Monday Night Raw.
