Dustin Rhodes Responds To Fan Asking For Goldust To Return: He's Retired. Sorry. Happy Where I'm At

You'll never forget the name of Goldust, but those days are in the past for Dustin Rhodes.

Dustin Rhodes has been with AEW since day one, competing against his brother, Cody Rhodes, at AEW Double or Nothing 2019. In the build-up to that match, Dustin bid farewell to his Goldust persona, which helped him achieve a new level of stardom in WWE.

Six years later, many things have changed. Cody Rhodes returned to WWE in 2022 and went on to have a run with the WWE Championship and compete in four WrestleMania main events since his return. As for Dustin, he's happy where he is.

Dustin recently responded to a fan on X who was asking for the Goldust character to return so that he, Cody's Stardust character, and the Lucha Libre AAA sensation, Mr. Iguana, could be a team. In response, Dustin apologized to the fan but said that the goldest character was retired.

As for Dustin's overall retirement, he still has some gas in the tank, but has thought out how he wants his career to end and says that he believes Tony Khan will give him the same respect that he showed Sting. Read those comments here.
