EC3: ROH Is One Of The Only Tolerable Wrestling Products On Television

Following his WWE release in April 2020, EC3 decided to control his narrative as a performer.

EC3 returned to IMPACT Wrestling for a feud against Moose following Slammiversary before officially signing with Ring of Honor in February.

Speaking to Scott Fishman of TVInsider, EC3 explained why he signed with ROH and the freedom afforded to him.

"I’ve realized that being under a three letter brand with a corporate wrestling structure isn’t for me. No change will ever be made as long as people conform and do the exact same things. I want to be different, and if that takes guaranteed money away from me, that’s OK. ROH is really, top to bottom, one of the only tolerable wrestling products on television. In my negotiations, they provided me with the freedom to create. No amount of money can take away the happiness and pleasure I truly get from creating and controlling my narrative," he said.

EC3 is set to take on Jay Briscoe at ROH 19th Anniversary on Friday, March 26. The match was originally scheduled for ROH Final Battle, but was rescheduled due to EC3 testing positive for COVID-19.

Fightful will have coverage of ROH 19th Anniversary on Friday beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
