Eddie Kingston has arrived in AEW.
As has become tradition, Cody put the AEW TNT Title on the line to open AEW Dynamite. Throughout the week, Tony Khan teased a top Indendepent talent would answer while Jon Moxley said hardcore fans would be very excited at Cody's opponent.
Both men were correct as Eddie Kingston answered Cody's challenge. Kingston cut a promo on Cody, discussing his life and promising to put Cody in the ground while smiling. Kingston then turned the open challenge into a No DQ match.
