Edge Comments On Wrestling Kevin Owens For The First Time

Edge stepped up with WWE being forced to change matches at Madison Square Garden.

Kevin Owens was originally scheduled to wrestle Big E and Seth Rollins in a cage match at the December 26 live event at MSG, but due to COVID effects, Big E and Rollins were pulled from the show. Rollins confirmed he tested positive for COVID.

With Kevin Owens needing an opponent, Edge stepped up to step into the ring with Owens for the first time ever.

Taking to Instagram, Edge posted the following comments:

Funny thing happened on my way to Detroit. I ended up in Madison Square Garden in a cage match against Kevin Owens. When I first got word I could wrestle again, this match was on my short list of things to do before I retire(for the last time). Have a feelin we’ll see each other again.

The bout marked Edge's first match since he faced Rollins inside Hell in a Cell at WWE Crown Jewel.

Edge has been part of WWE Raw in recent weeks in a feud with The Miz and Maryse.
