Edge Provides An Update On His Recovery From Triceps Tear, Says It's A Slow Process

Edge hasn't been seen in the ring since WWE Backlash when he competed against Randy Orton in the Greatest Wrestling Match ever. During the bout, Edge suffered a torn triceps, which will keep him out action for the foreseeable future.

Appearing on Busted Open Radio, Edge provided an update on his recovery.

"It's a learning process. I'm going to be 47 next month. I didn't know how I'd feel from injuries and surgeries, things like that. It's a slow process. The tricep is a different thing. I got back from an Achilles in six months, but I was 35. Add ten plus years, it's a different thing. You don't realize how much your tricep is involved in almost everything you do in terms of arm movement. I know it's a lot slower than I thought it would be. I have this mentality of, 'No big deal, surgery, [Physical Therapy], and we grind through it, break down the scar tissue, and off we go.' I don't know if it's the injury itself, if I'm older, I don't know what it is. It's not as fast as I would have liked," he said.

When asked if he had an update on when he might be back in the ring, Edge said, "We haven't got to explosive stuff yet, so we don't really know. It's three months out. Maybe I'm just impatient. I just assume by three months, I should be almost ready to go and that's not the case. Maybe I just need more patience with my body."

Edge was noticeably absent at WWE Clash of Champions when ghosts of Randy Orton's past haunted him in his ambulance match against Drew McIntyre.

It is unknown when Edge will return to the ring.
