El Hijo del Vikingo Provides Update On Recovery From Knee Surgery, Says Doctors Have Been Impressed With His Progress

El Hijo del Vikingo went down with a knee injury.

Over the summer, El Hijo del Vikingo suffered a knee injury and has since undergone surgery. For the first time since his operation, Vikingo provided an update on his recovery.

He was the first guest on WWE Ahora, the company’s new Spanish-language podcast. He stated that doctors have been impressed by his recovery progression (translation by Fightful’s Luis Pulido).

“I’m doing very well. I am still young, and my recovery is going very well. The doctors have been impressed with my progress; I’ve started walking sooner than expected. Of course, still going step-by-step. They told (me) I’m doing well, but I shouldn’t rush things. Sometimes it’s stressful being at home after being on the road for so long. On the other hand, I’m with my kids and my wife, so I have been enjoying more time with them.”

Before Vikingo had to step away, he was the AAA Latin American Champion. The 29-year-old last wrestled in June.
