El Mesias (Mil Muertes) & Mistico Announced for CMLL Grand Prix, Three Bouts Set For 89th Anniversary

Announcements were made for CMLL's Grand Prix & their 89th Anniversary Show.

On the latest edition of CMLL's weekly YouTube Show "CMLL Informa", Broadcast commentator Julio César Rivera announced more matches for CMLL's 8/19/2022 event, the 2022 "Grand Prix", adding three more matches and two more names to the main event match, as well as announce the first three matches of their 89th Anniversary show happening on 9/16/2022.

The first three matches for CMLL's 89th Anniversary show revealed, including a Four Way Tag Battle Royal, with implications for the show. The show will feature Atlantis & Fuerza Guerrera vs. Averno & Ultimo Guerrero vs. Atlantis Jr. & Stuka Jr. vs. Soberano Jr. & Templario, with the special implication being that the winning team will face each other in the Main Event Match in an Apuestas Match (Hair vs. Hair/ Mask vs. Mask). Also announced for the show was a Mask vs. Mask Women's Match, pitting La Jarochita against Reyna Isis.

It was also revealed that Mistico would be joining Team Mexico & that El Mesias (former Lucha Underground World Champion & MLW Caribbean Heavyweight Champion Mil Muertes) would join Team International for the 8/19/2022 edition of CMLL's Grand Prix. It was also revealed that the CMLL World Champion Hechizero defending his title against Euforia and two trios tag matches were also announced for the event.

The updated cards for both events are listed below.

CMLL 89th Anniversary 9/16/2022

- Four-Way Elimination Tag: Atlantis & Fuerza Guerrera vs. Averno & Ultimo Guerrero vs. Atlantis Jr. & Stuka Jr. vs. Soberano Jr. & Templario (Winners Face Each Other In A Lucha De Apuestas.)

- Mask vs. Mask Match: La Jarochita vs. Reyna Isis.

- Main Event Lucha De Apuestas

CMLL's Grand Prix 8/19/2022

- Team International (Rocky Romero, Kenny King, Robbie Eagles, Oráculo, Lince Dorado, Matt Taven, El Mesias & Tiger Mask) vs. Team Mexico (Volador Jr, Ultimo Guerrrero, Stuka Jr, Soberano Jr, Atlantis Jr, Titan, Templario & Mistico).

- CMLL World Heavyweight Championship Match: Hechizero (c) vs. Euforia.

- Lluvia, Dark Silueta & La Jarochita vs. Princesa Sugehit, Reyna Isis & Metalica.

- Star Black, Fugaz & Esfinge vs. Polvora, Okomura & Hijo del Villano III.
