Eric Young wants WWE to give Nikki Cross a real run.
Eric Young’s most successful time and WWE was during his time in NXT where he was the leader of the group known as SAnitY. This rebellious faction would also feature Alexander Wolfe, Killian Dain, and Nikki Cross.
Of the foursome, Cross would be the one who would have the most success outside of the group, becoming a multiple-time Tag Team Champion alongside Alexa Bliss. Currently, she is on the backburner of Bliss’ current storyline with Bray Wyatt and she has been featured on WWE Main Event in matchups against Reckoning aka Mia Yim.
Cross is the only former member of SAnitY still on WWE’s main roster. Killian Dain moved back to NXT, Alexander Wolfe found a new pack in NXT UK with Imperium, and Eric Young would be released on Wednesday, April 15th, 2020, and promptly return to IMPACT Wrestling.
In a new interview with Inside The Ropes, Young praised Cross, saying that he feels that even she is unaware of just how good she is as a performer.
“She is just a light, an absolute beautiful light, just so fun to be around and just eternally positive,” said Young. "Besides all the stuff of, ‘she’s this great human being and she’s funny, and she’s nuts, and just awesome to be around,’ is she’s crazy talented. I don’t think even Nikki knows how good she is, and I think the world is kind of starting to find out about it, but there is literally no limit to what she can do and what she can become – and I’m hoping that they give her a real run because she is somebody that the wrestling world will enjoy, has enjoyed already, but I just don’t think she even knows how good she is.
“She’s so talented, was such a huge part of SAnitY. I’m so happy to share tons of great memories with her and share a ring with her, and share a spotlight with her. So, yeah, she’s awesome, man. Besides being uber-talented is just a great person, so everything good that happens to her, she deserves!”
Young is currently building his own new faction in IMPACT with Cody Deaner and Joe Doering. Fightful has live coverage of IMPACT Wrestling every Tuesday night.
