Erick Rowan Says Braun Strowman's Release Is Proof That Nothing Is Guaranteed

Erick Rowan is reacting to the WWE release of Braun Strowman.

Braun Strowman was released by WWE on Wednesday, June 2, 2021. Just prior to that, he was in the WWE Championship match in May at WrestleMania Backlash and appearing on Raw in advertisements for the upcoming return to the road for WWE.

Braun Strowman debuted on WWE’s main roster in 2015 as a member of the Wyatt Family. Also a member of the Wyatt family throughout its various incarnations was Erick Rowan. Rowan was released by WWE in 2020 after being heavily featured in 2019 in a program opposite Roman Reigns.

Speaking on the latest episode of SK Wrestling's UnSKripted with Dr. Chris Featherstone, Erick Rowan, now known as Erick Redbeard, stated that this release is proof that there is nothing guaranteed. Despite signing big-money contracts, you simply never know what is going to happen, says the former Rowan.

"You know, a year ago, I was in the same position. That's what you get when you sign that big-money contract. It's not guaranteed money, man! (laughs). Nothing in this world is guaranteed. Just get back on, just get back on the horse and keep moving on, man," Redbeard said.

Reportedly, Braun Strowman is asking for a hefty booking fee to take independent dates. Learn more here.
