The seventh season of Dark Side of the Ring covers various subjects, including the infamous Necro Butcher vs. Samoa Joe match. This episode will air on July 21.
Speaking with Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful, Evan Husney discussed this episode.
“The season seven premiere is going to be a two hour show that’s going to have the first two hours of the TNA spectacular and then the third hour sort of conclusion will be the following week, July 14th. So check that out. It’s the most epic long run thing we’ve done for this series. It’s very exciting. One we didn’t talk about that I’m very excited about is the Necro Butcher versus Samoa Joe. Look, we get to have we have our own show, and we get to sometimes do whatever the hell we want with it. This is exercising that creative control clause. No, I’m just kidding. But you know what mean? It’s like, this is something that we just want to see happen and all parties were interested in doing it. So we were kind of like, ‘F it, let’s do it,’ and it’s fun, man. It’s a roller coaster ride. I’m looking forward to people who will be watching it with people who don’t know what they’re getting themselves into. I think that’s going to be a fun night in your respective households.”
