EVIL On Why He Joined Bullet Club, What He'll Do With NEVER Six-Man Tag Title He Shares With LIJ

EVIL explains in not so many words why he shocked the wrestling world and joined Bullet Club.

This past weekend, EVIL not only won the New Japan Cup, but also betrayed his Los Ingobernables De Japon stablemates and attacked leader Tetsuya Naito. This led to EVIL beating Naito at Dominion the day after to become the new double IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Champion. Speaking to the media after Dominion, EVIL was asked why he decided to join Bullet Club.

"Isn’t it obvious? I said it before. By any means necessary. I planned this all out. BULLET CLUB are the best team there’s ever been," EVIL said.

Of course, it would be inaccurate to simply call EVIL just a double champion. While he holds NJPW's top two singles titles, he also holds the NEVER Openweight Six-Man Tag Team titles. However, he shares those belts with his former Los Ingobernables De Japon stablemates Bushi and NEVER Openweight Champion Shingo Takagi. EVIL is not concerned with that title anymore.

"Those guys? Rotten. That belt? That piece of crap? I don’t need it," EVIL said.

Lastly, EVIL addressed his first title challenge, which will be against IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion Hiromu Takahashi at Sengoku Lord later this month. EVIL scoffed at Takahashi, saying "Hey Hiromu, you 100% yet? Can your neck survive my offense? Hmph."
