The “fix your hearts or die” line is from Twin Peaks: The Return and said by David Lynch’s character FBI Regional Bureau Chief Gordon Cole when speaking to his colleague, transgender DEA Agent Denise Bryson, in defense of her transition to other colleagues.
In the series, Cole says while speaking to Bryson, “When you became Denise, I told all of your colleagues, those clown comics, to fix their hearts or die.”
