Officials at Turner are heavily invested in AEW?s success and Excalibur explains how much that has helped the wrestling company.
During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Excalibur spoke on Turner?s involvement with AEW and stated that officials at the company have gone above and beyond in making sure AEW becomes a big hit.
The broadcaster spoke about how people in AEW were a little skeptical over how the Turner/AEW dynamic would work, but then spoke about how Turner used a lot of resources for the AEW panel at the recent C2E2 convention, providing a lot of goods for people at the convention to take home, all of which were paid for by Turner.
?They have been a fantastic partner. At first, we were kind of skeptical because we didn?t know what to expect, but the team at Turner has given us their full support. They have dedicated so many unexpected resources to us. They are just as invested as the internal AEW team is. That?s really awesome. At C2E2, we have our own booth presence. Turner, in order to promote Dynamite, had made a big marketing spend. That?s separate from our company, that?s all done by Turner. They are super involved in promoting the show,? Excalibur said.
Although AEW Dynamite has only been on the air on TNT for less than half a year, the network already is looking to have Dynamite on air for years to come. AEW signed an extension that will have Dynamite air on TNT through 2023. In addition, a new series will launch sometime in the future, but exact details on the upcoming series have yet to be officially announced.
