Bret Hart was attacked at this year's WWE Hall of Fame, and fortunately wasn't hurt.
Fortunately is the case, because the 61-year old stroke victim Hart was attacked by a 26-year old Zach Madsen, who Fightful Select learned is actually an amateur MMA fighter. He's listed as 6'2" and competes in the welterweight division regionally in Nebraska, where he's 2-1. You can see the finish of his last fight below.

Madsen actually wore a Jack Swagger t-shirt to his first MMA fight.
Unfortunately for Madsen, the WWE is full of legit fighters. Ironically, it was two not signed by WWE -- UFC veteran Travis Browne and Davey Boy Smith Jr. -- that got ahold of him before Dash Wilder also rocked him with a huge punch.

Fightful spoke to one fighter Madsen spoke with on the condition of anonymity who said that Madsen "seemed harmless and nice, but often didn't make sense." We're told Hart's Attacker Zach Madsen actually quit his job at Allstate to focus on an MMA career, which obviously hasn't worked out. Prior to that he worked at the Allstate Contact Center on a chat team primarily assisting insurance agents via IM on life insurance policies.
We also learned that Madsen was arrested in December 2018 for violating a protective order.
PWInsider added more information about Madsen as they are reporting that he was arrested in Lincoln, Nebraska on January 5th of this year for stalking but there is no word on where that case currently stands.
