Brody King Says He’s Open To Competing In NJPW G1 Or Tag League

Brody King is open to appearances in NJPW.

Over the past year and a half, Brody King has competed in three major tournaments for AEW, two of which has been the Continental Classic.

Given AEW's partnership with New Japan Pro Wrestling, some fans have pitched King appearing in various tournaments for the promotion. In a new interview with Phil Lindsey of Grapsody, King first talked about competing in tournaments for AEW.

"I really enjoy tournament-style wrestling. I really enjoy pushing yourself every week and trying to have a better match than the week before. Going up against the best talent in AEW is the most rewarding thing of all. You might not always get the W, but you know you left it all out there."

Then, King was asked about possibly competing in the G1 Climax.

"Never say never. Japanese wrestling is where my heart lies. I think everybody can see that through my style of wrestling. New Japan, I love competing for them every time I do. The G1 would be awesome. Tag League would be awesome. I’m never not open to any of it."

Elsewhere in the interview, King joked about Kris Statlander joining the Hounds Of Hell. Check out his full comments here.
