Eddie Kingston Recalls The Most Unusual Weapon He Has Ever Encountered

Eddie Kingston's childhood was not too unlike Philip Kaufman's 1979 film, The Wanderers.

The AEW star recently sat down with Fightful's Sean Ross Sapp (full interview above) and discussed a number of topics including the most unusual weapons he has encountered. As of late, Kingston, along with Santana & Ortiz, have been feuding with the Jericho Appreciation Society, and just a couple of weeks ago had a fireball thrown in his face.

The Mad King recounted a kid he knew corking a whiffle ball bat with rocks and then supergluing nails to it before heading off to a fight.

“Man. I just remember as a kid, a kid took a whiffle ball bat, right? Corked it with a bunch of rocks to make it heavy, then taped up the bottom, and then—we were nuts—put nails on it. Like super glued, gorilla grip glues nails on it. Then we went to the fight. It was a crazy day. We were different kids then. We were different kids then. Like I tell people, we were the Ducky Boys, if you ever saw the movie The Wanderers. We were the Ducky Boys," Kingston said.

Eddie won his last match on AEW television, defeating Daniel Garcia. He was going to whip the sports entertainer with his belt after the match but decided to let Garcia off with a warning as a message to Chris Jericho. Last Friday on Rampage, Kingston called Jericho while he was on commentary and promised to make him feel the same fear Eddie's wife did when Jericho decided to make their feud personal.

Up next for Kingston, however, is a showdown with Tomohiro Ishii at NJPW Capital Collision on Saturday, May 14. You can view the updated card here. Fightful will have coverage of the event on Saturday beginning at 8 p.m. ET.
