Matt Mako made his return to ROH, and his first time there under the Tony Khan regime, on the May 15th episode of ROH TV against Wheeler Yuta.

Speaking to Jeremy Lambert & SP3 on Fightful's In The Weeds, Mako was asked about his ROH TV appearance.

"Like a lot of wrestling, right place at the right time. Taping in Atlantic City, very close to my home. I was there to help out, as sometimes independent wrestlers do. They needed somebody to wrestle Yuta, and I jumped at the opportunity," said Mako.

Asked if he got any feedback about the match, Mako replied, "I had a very nice chat, it was very surreal, but I was talking to [Jon Moxley] and [Chris Hero] after the match for a while. That was very cool. Awesome feedback. That is such an environment that I would love to be in and learn from. I'm thirsty for more.

"I was in a little but of enhancement mode. I didn't really get any direction other than 'You have seven minutes.' Wrestling Yuta was our fifth time wrestling, so he's someone I'm very familiar with. Bryce Remsburg was our referee, someone else I'm also very (familiar with), we chat occasionally. It was a very familiar scenario, as much as Ring of Honor is a huge deal. I've never fought in that building, but I've been to the building for MMA fights. It all felt natural and I would wrestle Yuta best of 51. I couldn't ask for a better opponent and amazing opportunity to get the chance to work and show some stuff that I can do and am capable of."

Mako is 3-2 in his career against Yuta.
