Reason For The Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara Tables Match On AEW Dynamite Being So Short

If you thought the main event of AEW Dynamite was way shorter than you expected, that's for good reason.

Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara will meet later tonight in a Broken Rules Match where, if Matt Hardy loses, he must leave AEW after only being with the promotion for 6 months. However, this is not the first stipulation match between Sammy Guevara and Matt Hardy to be held on a major platform.

Ryan Garcia Claims That WWE Wants To Sign Him

On the August 27th episode of AEW Dynamite, Guevara and Hardy headlined the television program in a brutal Tables Match. The match, while very physical, also ended very quickly and played host to another picture-in-picture commercial break. As first reported by Fightful Select, there is a reason this match was so significantly cut for time.

Fightful was told that the Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara tables match was "massively" cut for time, and they even had to go to a commercial break in the middle of it. AEW sources informed Fightful that three segments on the AEW broadcast went heavy on time, and led to the cut from the main event.

With Hardy facing Guevara in a pay-per-view match with such high-stakes, there will be no worries about time constraints at AEW All Out. Keep up with our live coverage of the event at this link.
