Some of the top stars in wrestling have come out of Canada with Chris Jericho, Kevin Owens, Kenny Omega, Sami Zayn, and more occupying top spots on national television.
Shayne Hawke has worked with some of the best talent in Canada as he's been part of IWS, one of the top independent promotions in Canada.
Speaking to Jeremy Lambert & Joel Pearl on In The Weeds, Hawke named Le Tabarnak De Team (Mathieu St-Jacques & Thomas Dubois) two standouts on the independent scene in Canada.
"Arguably one of the best teams in the world. You can put them in that conversation. I've seen them take the Bucks to the limit. I've seen them take Mustache Mountain to the limit. Their wars with Dark Order are legendary. They are two French Canadian lumberjacks who are throwbacks to brawling, but they are so talented and so smart. Their psychology is on point. They wrestled at Fighting Back (2019) against Cody Rhodes and MJF, and people were clamoring for them to get signed. They started doing more with Limitless. They are two athletes where, if you like the Mike Baileys and Stu Graysons, you're doing yourself a disservice by not going out of your way to watch TDT," he said.
Hawke also mentioned Green Phantom, Cassanova Productions, Locked And Loaded (Jessie V & Mark Wheeler), Ben Tull, Matt Falco, James Stone, more as top talent on the Canadian Independent scene.
