Zoey Stark Calls Iron Survivor Challenge, 'A Lot Of Fun,' Says It Will Test Your Cardio

Zoey Stark comments on the Iron Survivor Challenge.

NXT debuted the Iron Survivor Challenge at NXT Deadline 2022 as a new way to crown a top contender for the NXT Championship and NXT Women's Championship. The match lasted 25 minutes with two competitors starting and a new competitor entering every five minutes.

Wrestlers would gain points for each pinfall, submission, or DQ victory and the loser would head to the penalty box for 90 seconds. The competitor with the most points at the end of 25 minutes would be named the winner.

Zoey Stark not only competed in the first-ever Iron Survivor Challenge match as the women's bout opened NXT Deadline 2022, but she was one of the first two competitors in the bout, meaning she went the entire 25 minutes.

Speaking to Fightful's Jeremy Lambert, Stark reflected on her experience in the bout and gave advice for the 2023 participants.

"That match is a lot of fun. I liked being in the ring the entire time and I was one of the first ones out there. Being able to stay through all the women, it's a blast. If you're in there for the first time, you have to work on your cardio. It will test you to your limits. It's a crazy match, and there is a lot going on and you have to try and keep your eye on the ball and get as many pins as you possibly can," she said.

Roxanne Perez was victorious in the first-ever women's Iron Survivor Challenge.
