Ezekiel On Elias Never Mentioning Him Before: ‘Is Kevin Owens Talking About His Mom On TV?'

Zeke speaks and he says he speaks the truth, regardless of what Kevin Owens has to say.

Following his main event match against Stone Cold Steve Austin on the first night of WrestleMania 38, Kevin Owens has spent the last month trying to prove that Ezekiel, Elias’ younger brother is not who he says he is. Rather, Kevin Owens believes that Ezekiel is Elias. So far, in order to prove his honesty, Ezekiel has passed a lie detector test administered by Chad Gable. Ezekiel has also wrestled in the main event of Monday Night Raw alongside Cody Rhodes, Riddle, and Randy Orton.

Now, Ezekiel is further saying that he is truly who he says he is and when asked why Elias never spoke about him before, Ezekiel told Brandon Walker of Barstool’s Rasslin’ podcast that there was no need for Elias to ever talk about his brother saying that some professional wrestlers want to keep their personal lives private.

“This is an interesting thing, man. I've been wanting to be a wrestler, you know, my whole life, and people ask me, ‘Oh, why didn't Elias ever talk about you?’ To that I just say, is Kevin Owens talking about his mom? Is Sami Zayn talking about his wife? The people they get out there on WWE on television, they do their thing. It's not really always about the family. So, I don't hold any like resentment towards Elias about that,” Zeke said.

One thing that Ezekiel and Elias have in common is musical ability. Zeke says in this interview that musical ability runs in the whole family but he doesn't gravitate toward the guitar, he prefers the piano.

“I see what you're doing here. Now. Listen, guitar, that was my brother's thing. Okay, now, yes, the musical gene has run through the family, all of us, my dad, my mom. I mean, the whole crew. But you know, I'm more of a piano guy. That's my thing. I love to play piano,” he said.

Regarding his positive demeanor towards the WWE universe as opposed to his brother and agonizing the crowd, Zeke, who also revealed in this interview that he can’t grow a beard, says he simply has no reason to be mad at the people and he is just living his dream.

“I love my brother, you know, but we all have our faults, right? We all have our areas where we missed the mark a little bit,” Ezekiel said, in regards to his brother's attitude. "Honestly, my brother would say some things that I did not agree with. Okay. I happen to be very grateful for any Ezekiel fan that is out there. So I just want to express my gratitude, and the cities I've got to see so far with all the traveling for the past month or so have just been beautiful. Everyone has treated me well. So, until proven otherwise, I got no reason to see things the way Elias saw things.”

Ezekiel and Kevin Owens have yet to have a one-on-one match but every Monday night, they continue to ruffle each other's feathers. For now, Ezekiel is just excited to be walking down the same roads Elias has walked.
