Finn Balor Says Match With The Undertaker Was Never Discussed Internally

Finn Balor vs. The Undertaker has been considered a dream match by many given their other wordly characteristics, but the bout was never as close as fans hoped it might be.

While many fans expressed excitement for a potential showdown between The Demon and The Deadman, talks of the two squaring off never got past internet chatter according to Balor.

"It has been discussed, but more from a media standpoint, like a dream match that people want," Balor said on What's The Story? podcast. "I hear a lot about it from media sources asking me about it. I haven't heard anything internally. That's not to say the office hasn't been pitching the idea. Maybe if it was two years ago, but nothing was ever concrete and no one ever came to me and said, 'You're going to be fighting The Undertaker.' There's always the possibility of anything can happen, but nothing was ever said and I was never officially told anything."

Undertaker has declared that he's retired and hasn't wrestled since his Boneyard match against AJ Styles at WrestleMania 37.

As for Balor, he's set to defend his NXT Championship against Karrion Kross at night two of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. You can view the current lineup for NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver by clicking here.
