Former WWE Champion Currently At TNA Tapings

The new Impact Wrestling is currently taping the first of six new episodes in Orlando, and there's bound to be a few surprises.

Well, now we know one of them.

Atlantis, Guerrero Maya Jr., And Jesus Rodriguez vs. Felino, Virus And Villano III Jr. Set For MLW AZTECA LUCHA

Impact Wrestling president Ed Nordholm Tweeted out this picture.

Yes, that's former WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio in the ring shaking hands with Jeff Jarrett, looking happy as a clam.

Del Rio, who now goes by Alberto El Patron, had been reported by PWInsider to be in extended talks with TNA back in January, but no further news ever materialized.

That rumor was squashed in an erroneous PWInsider report from earlier this week which stated that since old creative director John Gaburick had left the company, all interest in Del Rio left with him.

As we can all see, that report turned out to be false.

Del Rio, who had four total reigns in WWE, left the company in 2016, while serving a 30 day wellness suspension. His last match was a loss to John Cena on the August 16 edition of SmackDown Live.
