Gisele Shaw Says It Was A ‘Privilege And Honor’ To Take Part In Victoria’s Last Match
Gisele Shaw has high praise for Victoria.
Back in 2023, TNA Wrestling hosted the last match of Victoria/Tara’s career. The bout saw her team with Gisele Shaw to face the Death Dollz duo of Taya Valkyria and Jessicka Havok.
Speaking with Fightful’s Sean Ross Sapp for a new interview, Gisele Shaw spoke about Victoria’s influence before saying that it was an honor to share the ring with her.
“She’s also one of the women that I watched growing up. Her feud with Trish was, to me, I was like, ‘Oh, my God, this is so cool.’ These are beautiful, strong, confident women that are just kicking butt, not just like, ‘Hey, look at us and my body.’ It was like, ‘Hey, I’m gonna break your face,’ and sometimes that’s what they did. Obviously she’s contributed so much at TNA and if I was gonna be her last match, definitely a privilege and honor to be in the ring with her. All you could do really is go, ‘I’m going to make this finish as best as it’s going to look.’ Sometimes that’s the job and hopefully I did that justice.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Shaw spoke about Maple Leaf Pro’s upcoming television deal with TSN. Check out her full comments by clicking here.
